Citrine: Pure Gold

If you’re seeking a life of abundance, start with citrine. It promotes wealth in every sense of the word: more money, more success, more miracles. And let’s be honest, when has an abundance of miracles ever been a bad thing?

Citrine gets its name from the Latin word “citrina,” given its citrus color. Its gold-like coloration links it to the solar plexus and sacral chakras. Our solar plexus balances our sense of self, helping us feel confident and in control, and our sacral chakra awakens our creativity. Needless to say, citrine is the perfect stone for activating our bold, expressive, and optimistic selves.

In ancient times, citrine was used to protect against disease and venemous snakes. It was also thought capable of storing sunlight, and while this may be a scientific falsehood, it certainly has a warm, vitalzing energy like the sun. Just as the sun benefits our physical and emotinal well-being, so does this yellow gemstone. Thanks to its bright, happy appearance, it’s been dubbed the “Sunshine Stone.”

As a crystalline quartz stone with shades of yellow and amber, citrine looks a lot like honey — and its properties are sweet like honey, too!

Wealth

Anyone else trying to manifest more money in their lives? If so, citrine might be your new best friend. Sometimes called the “Merchant’s Stone,” citrine has been said to attract money and good fortune, making it the ideal stone for calling in abundance. It has even been said that keeping citrine in the far left corner of your living space—your “wealth area”—can invite financial prosperity into your life.

Pure gold is virtually indestructible; it will never corrode, rust, or tarnish. Emulating the properties of pure gold, citrine gives us the strength we need to feel confident and wealthy—in body, mind, and bank account.

Positivity

Gratitude is like a superpower; when we practice gratitude, we experience greater abundance. Citrine reminds us of this, which in turn presents us with more gifts from the Universe. With its warm hues and vibrant energy, citrine symbolizes happiness, and by fueling our daily lives with self-esteem and enthusiasm, it dissolves unnecessary tension and equips us with a joyful mindset.

Citrine helps us look on the bright side and take destiny into our own hands. In some languages, citrine literally means “lemon.” Appropriately, this stone reminds us: “When life gives you lemons…” With the right outlook, we can turn sour lemons into sweet lemonade.

Creativity

Citrine is November’s birthstone and therefore connected to the Scorpio zodiac. Scorpios are known to be brave and artistic, so it’s no surprise that this stone awakens our creative spirit, daring us to dream bigger and bolder.

Belonging to the fire element, citrine can boost our self-esteem, inspiring us to manifest our greatest desires. It begs the question: What do you want, and how can you get from Point A to Point B? In other words, it’s a hopeful stone, motivating us to seize opportunities to co-create with the Universe.

Strength

With its vibrant and powerful energy, citrine offers us strength and stability. When feeling drained or fatigued, citrine can help us feel refreshed and rejuvenated, making it easier to harness an ambitious mindset that carries us closer to our goals. In this way, this gemstone can be thought of as our personal charging station!

As mentioned above, citrine activates our solar plexus and sacral chakras. When placed near these chakras, we strengthen our self-confidence, physical vitality, and intuition. Heightened intuition, in particular, makes us wiser and more in touch with our spiritual selves.

The sun is universally acknowledged as a source of life. We need the sun; its energy, its warmth. Think of citrine as your personal sunshine stone, uplifting your mood, restoring your self-confidence, and energizing you in a way that makes you believe I can do this.
